A reminder from my son

So whilst me son in law chops away at my bush, and by that I mean the giant hedge in my front garden, I got a text from my youngest reminding me that I haven't posted a new blog for a while.

This is the beauty of having adult kids, the hell of rearing them interspersed with joy and love mainly at bedtimes really does bring gifts. Not the menetary kind as they are even more expensive now, but of the soulful kind. Where tables are turned. They all have their places in this world, bringing about different beauty.

My daughter the eldest of my three, has become my mentor, that person where no words have to be said, and she married a man that feels like another child of mine. I feel responsibility for them all in the same way that i did when they were hanging off my trousers like little sloaths. The truth is that whilst the teenage years were bloody rough, We all survived it realtively unscathed, and considering who their mother is they turned out ok.

The middle child is still a work in progress.... :)
